This is fun experiment I worked on during my free time at the Animation Workshop. After a month of learning Houdini fundamentals with my fantastic teacher, Andrew Lowell, I started to make light-hearted visuals starring a girl in a bush to put what I learned into practice. During this process, I realized that Houdini’s realtime viewport performance was actually…quite good? So I decided to make Bushgirl interactive, treating Houdini like a game engine! The results turned out much better than expected, and as a bonus, optimizing viewport performance taught me a bit about how Houdini works under the hood. Music coming soon!
