Come Sit on My Bed is an interactive projection-mapped installation in my bedroom, created in my free time.
---
Late last Spring, I invited my friends into the space most intimate to me: my bedroom. One at a time, I asked them to enter my room and sit on my bed. As they settled in, I would start to track their face, sending it drifting across the floating web of paper screens that surrounded them.
The paper is thin enough to hold a two-way projection. From my bed, my friends only needed to look upward to see their distorted, multiplied selves. Many of them didn't realize this, but from my doorway, I could observe the same projections too!
It was beautiful seeing my loved ones dissolve into soft fragments, scattered throughout my personal space. Thanks to everyone who came by and shared this moment with me <3
