Come Sit (2025)

Late last Spring, I invited my friends into the space most sacred to me: my bedroom. One at a time, I asked them to enter my room and sit on my bed. As they settle in, a system would start tracking their faces and project them across the floating web of paper screens that I installed and slept under over the past week.

The paper is thin enough to hold a two-way projection. From my bed, my friends watched their multiplied, distorted, selves reflected across my personal space. Most didn't immediatley realize it, but from my doorway, I could see their reactions through the other side of the sheets.

...this was all just an elaborate excuse to invite my friends over for a farewell party :')
